Neil Greenberg / Website Design and Development

An archival website establishing legacy

Requirement
How might we create a timeless and elegant website that showcases works clearly and is easy to update?
Solution
For Neil’s site, the content takes center stage, with the design serving as a subtle supporter. To make the site user-friendly, we focused heavily on information architecture and organizing content for each page. The site features an open-out menu with categories on his life and work for easy access.

Using a platform builder, I crafted a clean, one-column layout with playful details like arrow animations and pops of pink to reflect Neil’s serious yet delightful personality. This layout made updating easy.

Context
Mr. Neil Greenberg is a senior chroegrapher, dancer and an educator. His dance career spans over 40 years in New York City with a focus on honest, experimental expression while keeping the movements authentic.

He wanted a functional, no non-sense website to organise and archive his past, present and future works. A very important ask was that he needed something that he could manage himself.
